Velauthan is a mechanical engineer. He has been working on HVAC CAD-based design services for architects and builders of commercial base buildings. He provides consultation, planning and design services for HVAC CAD.
He has worked on CAD-based projects for an Indian bank, a Canadian company that develops and sells enterprise information management software and an American conglomerate. The projects he has been working on involved concepts of interior layout and ceiling work. He is competent in handling projects based on HVAC CAD-based services including preparation of plans, sections and schematics of HVAC services. This includes chiller plant layout, ducting layout, piping layouts, detailing of plant rooms with necessary sections.
The most significant challenge for him has been the design of HVAC ducting layouts in such a way that they remain intact throughout the gradual development and the ceiling layout. While working on CAD-based projects he prepares HVAC CAD-based detailed drawings for ducting, piping and schematics.
AutoCAD has been his primary tool for producing drawings since his college days. He has also been competent in the use of Autodesk Revit since he began his career.
He travels extensively for work and discusses projects with clients face-to-face. He also communicates with them via email, TeamViewer, GoToMeeting, BlueJeans and Skype.
ConnectJansari has been working as a mechanical designer on CAD-based projects since 2005. He has mostly worked for clients in India and Canada.
He has been handling projects for a wide range of clients including companies in the following industries:
He is proficient in 2D as well as 3D, and prefers to use Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, Fusion 360, SolidWorks, Autodesk HSMWorks, Navisworks and Solid Edge. He likes to be involved from the initial stages of prototyping to testing, modifying, re-testing, trouble-shooting and design calculation.
His work mainly involves the preparation of fabrication drawings, mining designs, forgings, plastic parts, sheet metal, investment casting and automotive casting.
He makes use of Skype and Webex to incorporate client suggestions whenever meetings are not possible.
ConnectSebastian has been working on CAD-based projects for architects in the US since 2000. She has been handling projects related to large apartments, including lobbies, interiors and exteriors. She also reviews design operations for her clients.
She is competent in both 2D as well as 3D. She prefers to use Autodesk Revit, but she also uses AutoCAD.
Her favorite project was an interior design of a lobby since March 2017. To begin, she had to review in detail whatever was unsatisfactory with the existing design and then she produced drawings for a new design. In another one of her other favorite projects, she worked on a church which was converted to an apartment building by a developer previously. She began the process by reviewing what the property developer had already done and found out that the church’s exterior was not planned causing a lot of infiltration, so she focused and planned on the exterior of this church again.
She is familiar with Skype and Webex in order to address issues that do not require face to face interaction with a client.
ConnectRallay is a Certified SolidWorks Professional (CSWP). He is a mechanical design engineer and has been handling complex design projects since 2010. Most of his CAD projects are 3D models, electrical circuit diagrams, P&ID’s (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), sheet metal drawings and weldment drawing. He has experience in the following engineering disciplines:
He works as a freelance design engineer, offering support to small and medium scale industries in India. He has also successfully handled projects with American multinational conglomerates and some of Asia’s biggest transport equipment companies.
So far he has handled projects involving:
Some of his recent works include:
He likes to work on CAD software such as SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, Creo, and Pro/Engineer.
He aims to continuous learn and update his software skills as he believes that most clients, particularly real estate and architectural companies, look for quick delivery and accuracy and by honing his software skills he is able to work more efficiently and quickly. He employs quality control and maintenance techniques at all times.
He noted that since clients are very particular about commitment to the delivery schedules, it is very important for CAD professionals to maintain good communication. Mr. Rallay uses Skype and Zoom meeting software to tackle problems remotely, but whenever required, he meets his clients in person.
V. Gainoutdinov is currently an independent CAD consultant, a role he has performed since 1993. Mr. Gainoutdinov was previously the head of design at Lambda Research optics, a mechanical engineering design company based in the United States, from 1993 to 2013.
Mr. Gainoutdinov oversaw all design activities for the company and managed a team of 2D and 3D designers (focusing on Autodesk Inventor SolidWorks, AutoCAD and CATIA 5). Mr. Gainoutdinov started his career as Mechanical Engineer at Sure Fire LLC., where he was responsible for implementing the use of CAD tools in the company. He also worked directly with the company’s customers, including military personnel and engineers. Mr. Gainoutdinov received a BMES in Mechanical Engineering/Aerospace from MATI.
All projects which I managed were challenging . Challenges differ from material of the product to customer requests. Solution is simple: do what customer required.
I use different CAD software, such as Solid Works,Autodesk Inventor, CATIA V5, Pro-E CREO. All software are different in way of operation and speed
I do update my skills by keeping myself informed by checking Engineering Websites, company new product development announcements regarding material properties and product design based on new modern materials. I do have some plans.
I prefer to do jobs myself because I am not sure that anyone else can make my project better.
E. Comer completed his degree in BEng, Energy Systems Engineering (Mechanical) and is a specialist in 2D and 3D design, including the modeling of 3D parts and their subsequent 2D drawings, and compliance with ISO standards. His favorite software for 2D drawings is AutoCAD and for 3D visualization he prefers SketchUp, but also creates models in Revit. For 3D visualization, he makes use of SketchUp and Autodesk 3DS Max. For creating animations, he uses Lumion Architecture along with Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere Pro. He has drafted and put together raster to vector conversions in the past but has been focusing mainly on 2D modelling since 2015.
His favorite project was a cable car project in Nepal. The project aids tourists visiting a temple near Mount Everest. The challenge here was to design standard machinery drawings and to include every detail of the cable car supplier. This involved a great amount of coordination.
He uses Skype, Viber and WhatsApp to communicate with clients when working on a project at a location far from his client.
